DUI judge claims "negroitis" defense

Charlottesville, Va.- This police video comes from Connecticut. I post it here to help with the upcoming local discussions of racial tensions. No, every judge is not racist. Every black is not racist. Everything does not equal everything. The police officer was black and the judge claims racism. Just as Secretary of Labor Robert Reich doesn't want stimulus money to go to "white construction workers."

Turns out you can be racist against your own race. In the local discussions, let's hope we can identify and condemn racism of all stripes on all sides. Let's remember Martin Luther King Jr.s exhortation to judge all people based on the content of their character, not the color of their skin. We can't improve race relations by having double standards. Can you imagine a white person saying a police officer had arrested him because he (the accused) was white regardless of the officer's race?

How is it racist when a black is treated based on his/her own actions and character? Let's hope these discussions do not reduce to empty charges of racism and double standards.
